Grenade Destroys A Colombian National Police Aircraft

February 18, 2009, Medellin, Colombia, a Colombian National Police Basler Turbo-67 aircraft was destroyed on the tarmac of the Olaya Herrera airport in Medellin. Reports indicate as the 27 anti riot police were boarding the aircraft when an explosion occurred inside the craft rupturing the aircraft into two pieces. According to a police spokesman, one of their police officers had boarded the aircraft with a grenade that accidentally exploded. Reports indicate 8 officers were wounded.
